The Legacy Centre Speaker Series with Jake Morrill
"Built to Last Beyond You: Stewarding the Value and Future of Your Business" presented by Jake Morrill, Consultant with The Family Business Consulting Group and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA)
“It is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.” —1 Corinthians 4:2
A business may provide a good living, employ good people, and earn a strong profit…yet still be worth far less than its owner expects. If its relationships, knowledge, and decisions remain concentrated in one person, the business may be successful without being transferable.
That is more than a financial concern. It is a question of stewardship… What have you built? Who depends on it? What would happen without you? And what responsibilities come with preparing it for the people who will carry it forward?
For anyone aware that, at some point, they will no longer run a company that they’d like to see continue beyond them, this talk is for you. Family Business Advisor, Jake Morrill, travels the country helping family businesses navigate these questions and build a future that lasts. On September 24, Jake will share the “Value Acceleration Methodology,” of the Exit Planning Institute, which focuses on 5, 4, 3, 2, 1: the five stages of value maturity, the four sources of value-increasing capital, the three legs of the stool, the two paths of preparation, and the one goal to keep foremost in mind.
This is not a talk about getting out. It's about building a stronger business, widening your choices, and becoming a trustworthy steward of the value you have been given the opportunity to create.
Reserve your seat today! Your RSVP is kindly requested by September 21st to reserve your seat and meal.
Note: This is an in-person event with a full breakfast. To help us reserve the appropriate number of seats and food, please ensure your registration is firm. Thank you!
